Nona Park Montessori School features warm and inviting classrooms for infant, toddler, primary, elementary, and adolescent programs, as well as various enrichment and extended day activities.

In keeping with the Montessori philosophy that children greatly benefit from being in nature, outdoor learning experiences are facilitated by class patios, gardens, and a picturesque, nature-inspired courtyard play space.

Nona Park Montessori School is conveniently located just a few short miles from Medical City and Lake Nona, and is easily accessible from both 417 and 528.

Our Philosophy

At Nona Park Montessori School, we create a rich, diverse, and supportive educational atmosphere where students can fulfill their highest potential.

Our Montessori environment is prepared with beautiful materials, unique learning opportunities, and creative activities so that children may learn joyfully, explore safely, discover freely, and thrive exceedingly.

Our programs are intended to inspire and empower students to develop their intellect, independence, and integrity as outstanding and responsible members of a global community.

The Montessori Experience

image10

Montessori education was founded in 1907 by Dr. Maria Montessori, the first woman in Italy to become a physician. She based her educational methods on scientific observation of children’s learning processes.

Guided by her discovery that children teach themselves, Dr. Montessori designed a “prepared environment” in which children could freely choose from a number of developmentally appropriate activities.

Now, nearly a century after Maria Montessori’s first Casa Dei Bambini (Children’s House) opened in Rome, Montessori education is found all over the world, spanning ages from birth through adolescence.
